5-Star Review from Eileen

Up until the Spring of 2019 my 88 year old mother had enjoyed reasonably good health except for issues with moderate COPD and high blood pressure.  This all went downhill as she started having recurring UTI’s, escalating difficulty with breathing at night, increasing edema in her legs, and prolonged nausea after eating.  She had a fall, where a compression fracture was missed in her urgent care visit.  After months of sleep deprivation and multiple physical discomforts and struggles she was very worn down and her family very concerned and uncertain as to what was going on with her.

Relief finally came when her pulmonologist diagnosed her with a heart condition and she was admitted into the hospital. We were very relieved to have a diagnosis but were left with lots of questions and still feeling uncertain about her whole health picture. A friend recommended Ready2Nurse for Mom’s follow-up Medicare visits.

From our first visits with Amy and May I found them to be professional, proactive and helpful.  They processed the necessary paperwork with us-making it seem easy to get set up and started.

Their first interviews with Mom were comprehensive and thorough as they built a complete picture of Mom’s overall health.  They took the time to get acquainted with Mom and encouraged her thoughts, feelings, and perspective on things.  They listened to her input and responses attentively-and I felt their concern for her as their patient was sincere and genuine.

The impression that Mom was in good hands with Ready2Nurse continued in the months of care and support to follow.  Mom had some further struggles ahead with getting the correct care for her CHF and then with a diagnosis of a bladder tumor!  We found Amy’s medical knowledge to be very valuable during this time of uncertainty and worry.  She could always review and explain what a specialist had told us and was just so helpful at clarifying medical information we had missed or hadn’t fully understood in the doctors office!  She was great at reviewing lab-work, explaining what to expect from different procedures, and talking over concerns and issues for making some big decisions.  She really alleviated anxiety and uncertainty for my Mom as she went through nuclear stress tests, TEE procedures and going under general anesthetic for surgery!  Her encouragement and support really made a difference for Mom (and our family!))

In addition to her excellent support in navigating the health care system and giving us more confidence and clarity in the whole process, she provided strong practical support for daily living concerns.  Quality of life is a key focus for Amy and she is resourceful and helpful with ideas and new things to try.  Mom had avoided making very many changes in the home as she has been pretty active and felt comfortable with how things were.  Amy and her wonderful OT Christa gradually and diplomatically encouraged Mom to implement some much needed improvements such as a much better shower and commode set-up.  Mom told me it all feels more comfortable and easy now to be in and out of the shower and bathroom.

Very importantly, Mom had started to develop a pressure sore as she has to sit up at night to breathe.  I had missed this and had no knowledge of them.  Amy addressed it quickly and promptly.  I was slow to buy the sacral pillow she recommended because I thought it looked uncomfortable and awkward and also thought the pressure sore was much better with the sheepskin pad we were trying!  Amy and Christa patiently kept following up and checking and went to some trouble to find a pillow that would be the most soft and comfortable.  When we finally tried it out it worked immediately-pain and discomfort gone.  I was very appreciate and grateful for their patience and perseverance on this as Mom is much more comfortable at night now, not to mention avoiding a possible major problem with an out of hand pressure sore.

Having Amy checking in on Mom regularly to evaluate her vitals and overall status was very reassuring and comforting.  She always took some time to really get a sense of how Mom was doing and offered lots of understanding, encouragement and support. She worked hard to improve the things that could be changed while being realistic about the problems that weren’t going away- and how to cope with them better.

We felt grateful that we had Ready2Nurse as our “partners in care” during a really difficult time for our Mom.  We felt that Amy and her team provided excellent backup and support.  They were responsive, caring and skillful in helping Mom back to better health and quality of life.

5-Star Review from Anna

Ready2Nurse has been caring for both of my elderly parents for over a year now and my mother-in-law for about 6 months. They are extremely professional yet very caring to all their patients. They make it easy to work through insurance matters and always give the best medical advice with the patient’s health interest in mind. Amy, the founder, is extremely smart, professional, caring, and empathetic. May is also just as wonderful as are the others working there. Their service is top notch, and I cannot say enough good things about them. Through Amy’s attentive and observing nature and medical training, she was able to help expedite an urgent surgery to save my father’s hand. I also credit her for saving my Mother-in-law’s life by recognizing that emergency surgery was needed to remove a hernia that was strangling her intestine. We are grateful to her and all at Ready2Nurse for providing such optimal care to our elderly loved ones. I hope this provides you with some insight you were desiring about Ready2Nurse. I wholeheartedly recommend and trust their services.

Sincerely,

Anna

My wife had a life-threatening infection that required six weeks of round-the-clock treatments at home. Ready2Nurse nurses came to our home dependably, night and day. They were friendly, efficient, and professional. They kept the records that we needed for the insurance companies and made sure that our home environment was even better than hospital standards. Thanks to their help, my wife has fully recovered.

5-Star Review from Chris

On behalf of my friend, I am writing this review for him. A month ago he was taken under the wing of Amy the founder. Although he didn’t speak much english they were able to form a bond incapable of comprehension. Their team of doctors especially Amy works fast and hard. My friend in chronic pain one night was visited by Amy. With a fast and great deduction, Amy decided to send him into surgery to save his life. All in all Amy and her crew are the most kind and gentle people you could possibly have as a caretaker.

5-Star Review from Bradley

This is the first time I have ever provided review of any sort on Yelp. Of course it’s not that I have not encountered service worthy of mention (positive and negative) to date or a recent user of Yelp (at least the past six years). My review owed to the fact that READY2NURSE and, more specifically AMY WANG absolutely define the ideal of patient care.

I recently suffered a pretty significant traumatic motorcycle collision during which time I required the services of home health care. AMY and associated nursing staff (SHEILA who is also absolutely awesome!) assumed the rather daunting task of managing my home health care needs. To be fair, a competent nurse could provide the routine administration of IV antibiotics, dressing changes and lab draws dictated under my treatment plan. However…

AMY WANG is an exceptional practitioner (I know them when I see them as the son of a father who is a surgeon and a mother who is a career RN and my own experience as a field paramedic). I value and respect those who understand the importance of being competent and skilled at your craft. I value even more those who do so in healthcare (and public safety work – thank you!) as lives literally hang in the balance. However, I also expect competence as a baseline. AMY is beyond competent. She is efficient and clearly very skilled and beyond well versed in the clinical aspects of her craft. AMY is literally the person that I would want to train any nurse unlucky enough to draw the short straw of having to provide my care. She is that good.

What truly set AMY and SHEILA apart is the very hard to quantify aspect of relating to the patient. They could not be better!!! From the first visit, I felt at ease and well cared for. AMY took the time to explain my treatment plan and the interventions and routine that she and SHEILA would be providing with a level of interest that, to this moment, amazes me. AMY literally recited information from my patient care record (lengthy and complex would be a significant understatement) with aplomb and understanding. My words do little justice to the fact that she memorized my records and overlaid the information into her treatment plan to provide an informed and cohesive sense of how things should go and what WE could expect going forward with my treatment. My use of “we” (with emphasis) was intended. Another incredible observation about her… I always felt like AMY was right there, one hundred percent, as my advocate and to insure that I knew I was not alone. AMY took the time and considerable effort to engage, explain and train my wife in becoming a partner in my care as well, quite literally to the point that she (my wife) has expressed an interest in the nursing field. Again, AMY is THAT GOOD!

Clearly I could go on about the quality of care that I received from AMY and SHEILA. They absolutely define the market and understand that relating to and understanding your patient is integral in successful management of care. I can’t begin to express how impressed and humbled I am by the care provided under AMY and SHEILA’s watch. In medicine the standard that most practitioners proffer is that they would want to provide a level of care that would be permissible to offer a parent or loved one. I certainly expect that as a standard both in giving care and receiving it. AMY… you have set that bar even higher. I now have a new standard… “I want the level of care that AMY provides!”

I could not recommend a service or individuals more!
