Our mission at Ready2Nurse is to help one family at a time with dignity when you need us.
During health events, we often rely on loved ones to manage our affairs and take on the emotional toll of long-term care. Caring for a loved one with chronic or debilitating health issues can have a significant impact on both the patient and the family. Our compassionate team of medical experts and therapists helps alleviate this pressure by bringing professional care and medical management into your home. We are there when you need us.
The Ready2Nurse Vision
A higher standard in Home Health Care
Our vision is to enable patients to stay at home for as LONG and as SOON as possible following any health event! By collaborating with you and your physician(s), we are your best advocate to transition from hospital to home, maintain health and to age in place for as long as possible.
I began planning Ready2Nurse after my dearest friend and mentor passed away on Easter in 2017. Before her passing, I visited her in her home and witnessed firsthand how poor quality, inexperienced home health care can lead to a devastating outcome. The lack of medical knowledge and communication between her home health provider, her physician and broader care team led to a secondary illness going undiagnosed, which ultimately caused her early demise.
It was then that I decided to leave my clinical practice and launch my own Home Health Agency. I vowed it would have a strong, medical foundation and employ foremost advanced practitioners and clinicians such as Physician Assistants & Nurse Practitioners. To this solid base, the plan called for also employing a core team of Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Registered Nurses, and other professionals with a passion for Home Health and the experience to go with it. I was committed to creating an Agency where patients and families do not feel isolated or helpless in times of crises, and I believe I have achieved that in Ready2Nurse.
I have been in the patient care business for more than 25 years, serving as a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and certified Physician Assistant (PA) for 13 years and a Registered Nurse (RN) for 12 years prior to that. I received my medical training at the Stanford University School of Medicine where I earned both my FNP and PA credentials. I worked in the Stanford University Medical Hospital before moving to a private family practice in San Jose. I am fully dedicated to utilizing my clinical experience to improve one family health crisis at a time!
I am happily married and have 2 children, who are blessed with grandparents from both Mom and Dad’s sides of the family. In my spare time, I love to hike, cook and spend quality time with my family.
